Our executive committee met today for a regularly scheduled meeting. Hottest topics on the agenda included the fact that early-bird ticket-holders represent a wide-range of diverse alumni and former faculty & staff. Our most senior Bulldogs hail from the Class of 1938, and our Bull-pups were graduates of the Class of 2010. We also have five hotels with blocks of rooms set aside for Senntennial attendees wishing to make a night or weekend of it in Downtown Chicago. We will publish our list in the next week, so stay tuned! Our entertainment committee will soon be selecting music for the Gala. Finally, we learned a fun fact from an alumnus: Miss Doniat, art teacher, was the first to enter the completed building in 1913. She was also Clark Gable's first wife and retired an 1947!
What I continue to LOVE about Senn is everyone's commitment to the Senntennial cause and their efforts to make the Senntennial a grand celebration of our alma mater's rich history!
Tell us in your comments below what you love about Senn. And please be sure to spread the word to your friends for ticket sales. No tickets will be sold at the door, so get 'em now so you don't miss out on the Party of the Senntury! Wow I'm disappointed that there's noone from my class of '67 signed up
ReplyDeleteyet probably because they just had a reunion, I believe, last year but I
couldn't make that date =(.
Hope to see you at Navy Pier.
Betty--
DeleteNot to worry; I think the class of 1967 will be well represented. Look for Iris, Irene, Martha, Nopar, and who knows who else. You round up your posse!
